Breaking Unspoken Agreements

Many of us feel the need to explain our decisions to others, often as a way to manage their expectations of us. Whether it's societal conditioning or a learned behavior, it becomes an unspoken agreement we adopt in an attempt to be seen as good, caring individuals who are justified in our choices.

But I invite you to pause and ask yourself: why does it even matter what others think of us? No matter what we say, how we explain ourselves, or the reasons behind our actions, people will always judge us through their own personal filters—filters that have little, if anything, to do with us.
Instead, let’s shift the focus to truly knowing ourselves, finding contentment within, and embracing our truth without being weighed down by shame, guilt, or blame. When we consciously choose to invest our time and energy in ways that align with our heart’s truest desires, we give ourselves the freedom to show up authentically. Here’s to making progress every day!
